Terms and Conditions for Richmond Furniture Scheme’s Online Shop

The following terms and conditions apply to all orders for the purchase of goods from the Richmond Furniture Scheme online shop.

Our contract

If you place an order online to purchase a product from Richmond Furniture Scheme, we will send you an e-mail confirming receipt of your order and containing the details of your order. Your order represents an offer to us to purchase a product which is accepted by us when we deliver the product to you. Any products on the same order which we have not delivered to you do not form part of that contract. You warrant that you are legally capable of entering into binding contracts and that you are at least 18 years old.

Description of the goods

We will take all reasonable care to ensure that all details, descriptions and prices of products appearing on the website are correct at the time when the relevant information was entered onto the system. Whilst we endeavour to provide up to date images of individual products, for a minority of items, stock images may be used. We reserve the right to refuse orders where product information has been mis-published, including prices and promotions.

Appliances

The following applies to any large electrical appliances (white goods) acquired from Richmond Furniture Scheme.

All appliances are electric free-standing units.  Appliances have been reconditioned and tested to manufacturer’s standards in an independently certified specialist workshop.

Appliances are in full working condition. They are however graded A1, A or Standard with regard to cosmetic condition.

Unless agreed otherwise RFS will only supply: washing machines, fridge-freezers and cookers. Other appliance types may be available to order but would be on extended order.  Customers can only request appliance by generic type, and in some instances size/capacity. The manufacturer, colour, etc cannot be specified.

Customers must check (and sign if buying in person) the Appliance Checklist before an order can be accepted.  By checking the Terms and Conditions of sale, RFS accepts this as proof that this check-list has been seen, understood and accepted.

Customers will be required to check and sign for goods on receipt.

If an adult is not available to permit delivery on the arranged date then RFS will contact the customer to arrange a revised delivery date but reserve the right to charge an additional delivery fee.

Hoses may not be supplied with washing machines and washer-dryers.  RFS is not responsible for any loss or damage occurring after delivery.  If RFS damaged an appliance in transit, as shown by comparison with the condition sheet provided by Rework, then RFS will offer a discount or replacement appliance.
